Meet Nadia! Since starting ETA Zoom Classes in April, she has lost 18 pounds. Way to go! Nadia noticed that since starting her office job, her clothes weren't fitting and she was feeling lethargic. She decided to give ETA a shot when the quarantine began because she didn't know how to correctly workout - even at the gym. Nadia says ETA classes have made positive changes for her both physically and mentally. She even says it's boosted her workday productivity because she has more energy during the day. Some of Nadia's favorite ETA exercises are deadlifts, skull crushers and curtsy lunges. We are so proud of Nadia's dedication and commitment to feeling good and living a healthy lifestyle!

Jump In!

If you've ever taken one of ETA's classes - you know we like to jump! Jumping rope is one of the best cardio workouts you can do. The best part - all you need is one small piece of portable equipment. Jumping rope is a total body exercise. Not only does it burn major calories, it also improves coordination, bone density, cardiovascular health and breathing efficiency. The Jump Rope Institute even claims it makes you smarter, by aiding in the development of the left and right hemispheres of your brain, which further enhances special awareness, improves reading skills, increases memory and makes you more mentally alert. Relax, Relate, Release

Meditation can reduce stress, increase calmness, clarity and promote happiness. And let's be honest - we all need a little bit of that right now! All you have to do is sit or lie comfortably on a chair or cushion. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath and relax. Breathe naturally. Focus your attention on your breath and on how your body moves as you breathe. The goal of meditation is to focus and quiet your mind, eventually reaching a higher level of awareness and inner calm. You can meditate anywhere, anytime.

Health & Wellness Bites

Water. Be sure to hydrate throughout the day. It takes a couple of hours for your body to absorb the water, so you can't just drink right before exercise.
Metabolism. Organic ground cinnamon boosts your metabolism because it keeps blood sugar levels stable while also lowering high blood sugar. Weight loss benefits are even stronger when combined with honey. Consider adding both cinnamon and honey to your favorite herbal teas or coffee.
Balance. ETA is a big fan of balance exercises. Studies show that routines that challenge your ability to balance and steady yourself also improve cognitive functioning. So make sure you are incorporating balancing into your daily routine.
Consistency. Are you consistent with your exercise or have you been skipping sessions? An occasional missed workout won't hurt, but if they've been adding up, then you won't see much progress.

Tired or Hungry
We’ve all been there: We feel tired or sad, or even happy, and suddenly we start to think about filling our stomachs. The question is: Are we really hungry or is something else going on? The answer, not surprisingly, is: It’s complicated. First it helps to understand why we feel hungry - the hunger sparked by needing more calories to run our bodies. “This is a physiologic type of hunger that occurs when we haven’t eaten in a long time,” Dr. Lisa Neff, an assistant professor in the division of endocrinology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, told TODAY. “We feel discomfort in our stomachs. There’s a rumbling that typically builds gradually. We may feel a decrease in energy and the ability to concentrate. Sometimes there’s a headache or irritability. As we go longer and longer without food, the hunger and stomach pangs get worse.”How do you know it's a real need for sustenance? Read More
I appreciate the idea.
